Courtenay Dulak, Principal @ Big Sky Public Relations

Courtenay Dulak launched her public relations career in 2005 as an intern for Orange County based firm, NN Public Relations which specializes in technology, fashion and entertainment. Utilizing her work experience and internship, Courtenay then secured a job in management and marketing with Enterprise-Rent-A-Car. Within nine months she was promoted to Assistant Branch Manager and went on to be the region’s leader for corporate account marketing.

After a year and a half with Enterprise, Courtenay was offered the opportunity to work for Target as an Executive Team Leader. In this position, she directed store softlines sales and merchandising, along with the management of over a hundred team members. She excelled with Target and restructured her sales floor, taking unacceptable ratings to outstanding assessments in under a year. Overall sales in the softlines department improved more than 6% under her direction and floor reorganization efforts.

In 2008, Courtenay returned to public relations with a strong knowledge of executive management, marketing and client relations. She has gained client coverage in national publications such as The San Francisco Chronicle, The Star-Ledger, Gentry, Bridal Guide, Washington Life, Cincinnati Enquirer, Diversion, Family Circle, Variety, The San Diego Union-Tribune, and Insider Magazine.

Soon after re-entering the public relations sector, Courtenay opened Big Sky Public Relations, LLC., a firm dedicated to  creative branding and business development  through the mediums of media relations and event production.  Big Sky Public Relations now manages brands such as Fresh Life Radio, Machallie G’s, Ghetto Juice Magazine, LOVE Reusable Bags, and Make Me Chic while continuing to collaborate on projects with a variety of public relations firms.  Other clients include Jessica Matrasko Jewelry, von Hemert Interiors, David Boone, SPLIT, Magnolia Acupuncture,  and AllMyInvites.com.
